Basic Rules
- Class tuition for the current month must be completed before entering a new month. To make a payment please see receptionist. If you want to find out your balance or have a question and the receptionist is not available, please feel free to leave a message on the machine or see and instructor. If you want to make a payment and she is not available, please feel free to give it to your instructors. Receipts are available
- Attendance will be taken every class. If you are absent you are still charged for that class. If we cancel class we credit your account. Please attend class regularly!
- Acceptable dancewear: Leotards & tights (most preferred), spandex shorts, tight tank tops, tap shorts. All clothes must be tight fitting. It is difficult to see proper technique and body lines if dancewear is baggy. If proper dancewear is not worn a letter will be sent home. NO PANTS.
- Dance shoes: there are specific shoes required for each class. A shoe list will be posted on our website. You may purchase shoes through dancingly yours in Plainville or any dance store. Hip Hop students wear clean street sneakers for class.
- A costume deposit is due on or before Nov. 1 (costumes are ordered in early Dec.). Costume balances are due on or before Feb. 1. Bills will go out. Costumes for recreational classes are $60.00 a piece
- There will be a $20.00 fee for any returned checks.
- For inclement weather we will post cancellations on TV. We use NBC30. We DO NOT go by the school systems. It is also posted on our website.
- We like to keep our families very well informed. A newsletter will be handed out every month, postings will be put up in the waiting room & on our website. If the first of the month has past and you did not get a newsletter please ask for one. It is very important that you read everything so you don’t miss out on anything. If there are any further questions that we have not answered please call, we always get right back to you. Almost everything is posted on our site as well.
- Trophies: We give out trophies during our award ceremony in June. It is a great time & is at absolutely no charge to you! Trophies that get larger with each year are given out for 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20 years of dance. All years in between will receive one size trophy. All years from previous studios will still be bridged. Everyone receives a certificate and star pin.
- Class placements are not finalized until Nov. 1st. This means all students can have their classes changed because of ability level. Only instructors are able to make these changes.
- The dance floors are set up so the doors can be shut. This prevents distractions while the children are learning. If you would like to view the progress of the class, please feel free to let your teacher know, we would love to have you watch. If you need us for any reason please feel free to open the door.
- A calendar of tentative date for the year will be handed out in September.
- Please do not leave children unattended in the waiting area. If you are unable to pick up your dancer right after class please let someone know so we can make sure they stay in the dance floor until you arrive. Once we let class out we assume everyone’s ride is here. Same rule applies for before class, don’t just drop your dancer off early & think someone is there to watch them. All instructors are in class.
